Welcome to my corner of Northeast, where I breed and raise exceptional cow bred Quarter Horses. With a rich history in riding my family's running bred Quarter Horses, I've competed in various prestigious events, including AQHA, 4-H horse shows, and earned qualifications for the NSRA finals from 1981 to 1986. My passion for these remarkable animals drives me to share their beauty and strength with fellow enthusiasts. 

 

Since relocating to Northeast Texas with my family in 2006, I've had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful horse enthusiasts. I was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of equine events and arenas in Hopkins County and the nearby areas. This has truly made my experience here a dream come true!

Another plus is the lush green grass; to be able to let our babies be foaled out in the pasture and pasture breed our mares, this area is a great place to raise horses and families.

​

In 2020 I started thinking about starting a Stock Horse Association that would bring our East Texas area shows similar to the Stock Horse of Texas.  Hence, the East Texas Stock Horse was formed.  It was this and all of the great people that helped build these shows. I am thrilled to watch in grow under the wonderful board of directors that have taken over the task.

Doing these shows I realized how people were always asking about referrals for Cow Horse Trainers, someone to help with Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail, Reining and where they could take lessons or find clinics related to stock horse classes.

​

I had this idea back then but just couldn't find the time to make it happen.  Now that I have turned the East Texas Stock Horse over to a Board of Directors, which is flourishing!  I have decided to work on this again.  Plus, I just miss the people.......so hoping I can again start meeting people that share my same interests and connect them again!

​

2026 is the official starting year for the Equine Business Directory and we will be starting right here in our home area of Northeast Texas and then branch out.

​

My goal for this is of course, is to make some money to pay for my horse habit and be able to afford feed for all my 4-legged friends but more importantly, I want to be able to give back to the equine industry.

 

I hated asking for sponsorships when starting the ETXSH.  I know everyone dislikes asking for money. I want to be able to give part of our fees, half of all our fees will be donated to different equine groups that have made an impact on equine industry in our area and keep it growing.

 

Youth especially have a special place in my heart.  So, part of EVERY business listing will help us provide sponsorships and scholarships to our Equine loving youth that are participating in youth rodeos, 4-H or open shows.

I will have a variety of listings that are affordable.
